SAINT JOSEPH’S TRUST FUND

FOR SUPPORT OF TRADITIONAL CATHOLIC RELIGIOUS SISTERS

14 November 2007

Reverend and Dear Mother,

The St. Joseph Trust Fund has sent you a separate package which is a box of two pop-up catechism books made in Hong Kong pre-Vatican II. They are the last of the lot available from the SSPX Asian mission. It is sent with the hope that you can be inspired to use them and maybe even reproduce something similar.

This trust was set up on the feast of St Joseph on May 1 in 2003, in order to help traditional convents that are linked to the work of the Society of St Pius X.

Since that time there have been numerous grateful letters of response, to which the Trust has addressed with many thousands of dollars to help them:

  1. send priests for retreats
  2. send postulants to try their vocations
  3. help with medical and dental needs
  4. help with building projects
  5. help with regular maintenance
  6. finance emergencies of all kinds.

As Bishop de Galeretta said at the ordination ceremony in 2005 on Dec 27 at Goulburn, Australia:

"Helping traditional vocations is the very best investment you can make"!

Here is a brief summary of our work so far as:

1) Numerous cash cheques to 21 convents.

2) Tapes and books sent to needy Oblate Sisters of the SSPX in Switzerland.

3) Plane ticket purchased for priest to fly to New Zealand from France for Dominicans' Retreat.

4) Medical insurance for two nuns for a year.

5) Dentist work for some nuns.

WORK TO BE DONE:

1) Maybe someone can re-create books like the ones sent recently?

2) Sponsors needed for on-going boarding costs at one convent.

3) Building work needed for:

    a/ SSPX Oblates

    b/ Indian mission convents

c/ Dominicans in France and the USA

Let me know if I can send you any more of the books that were sent. They are in limited supply, and we have just a few catechism themes left from the original 16, or I could send more money for special needs; and tell me the best way to send it.

Yours in Jesus, Mary and St. Joseph

Rev. Fr. Kevin Robinson
